South Carolina Religious Freedom Act Passes the SC State House Today

In an 86-29 vote the South Carolina House passed the bipartisan Religious Freedom Act that defines religious services as essential services so that future Governors cannot arbitrarily close or limit religious activities. There was a vocal minority of Democrats who spoke and opposed the bill saying that it was unnecessary. The bill will be sent over to the Senate where it is expected to pass and be sent to the Governor barring any unexpected surprises.

Representatives from Summerville area that voted Nay (Against): Pendarvis, Moore, J
